THE MONGOLS
A nation formed by the great visionary leader Chingis Khan, who came out of nowhere to become the George Washington and Hitler of the Mongol people.  Far more successful than Hitler, he put together a realm that was enlarged by his sons and grandsons into the largest empire the world has ever seen.  That was the entire USSR plus China, plus south Asia from Syria to India.  The grandchildren attacked Germany, Japan, Burma, Indonesia.  Then the Mongols fell victim to the "dynastic disease."  Jerks and fools became rulers, family members intrigued against each other, the governments fell apart.  The Mongols disappeared from history until modern times.
