SWITZERLAND, cantonal coinage
    The Swiss Confederation is a bit more than 700 years old, born out of frustration with the uncertainties and built-in unfairnesses of having to deal with the Holy Roman emperor.

"Bracteate" refers to the fact that the coin was struck on what is basically thick foil with only one die.
