A batch of Chinese stuff I purchased from a country auction.  From an estate. They collected a lot of stuff including coins and artifacts from various places including China. They were generally unsophisticated but they bought for eye appeal and variety.  There were fakes, but these, except as noted, are, in my opinion, genuine, and anyway are covered by my standard send it back if you don't like it policy.

A batch of Ming knives below.  They seem to have been selected rather than being a hoard, though some of them, described as "wavy blade," are obviously part of the same find.  How did they get their blades all bent in the same way?  They must have been stacked together then put under something heavy that deformed them when they were new and pliable.  This batch has a number of the scarcer subtypes: the rounded blade, the comma-form MING.  There are also intermediate shapes as you can see.  I rather get the impression that the moulds were engraved by hand rather than with "seed" coins, and that every single one of them is unique.
