lead coin, 12mm, faces both sides. I got it at a local yard sale.
The guy said he got it in Israel. Over the years I've seen a numberof
unlisted ancient lead coins from the Middle East. Discussion with
numismatic luminaries brought the general opinion that lead was widely
used for minor coinage back then and over there, but that the field is
virtually unpublished. Why? They're not sexy, mostly. Any comments?
