Ancient lead coin, 12mm, faces both sides.  I got it at a local yard sale. The guy said he got it in Israel.  Over the years I've seen a numberof unlisted ancient lead coins from the Middle East.  Discussion with numismatic luminaries brought the general opinion that lead was widely used for minor coinage back then and over there, but that the field is virtually unpublished.  Why?  They're not sexy, mostly. Any comments?
