An interesting
aspect of late paleolithic and neolithic cultures is the fact that the
same tools were being made in the same way all over Eurasia in a given
time period. Also interesting that the same shapes seem to show up
in the Americas a couple of thousand years later. One might be tempted
to suppose that there is a cultural "gene" of some sort that produces these
things.
