GERMANY, medals & medallets
Germany in general was one of the great medal making countries of the world.  The Germans have been fond of making flat, round metallic objects for more than half a millennium.  Any reason is a good reason, business or pleasure.  No comprehensive catalog of German medals is possible.  A hundred thousand types is not an unreasonable guess.
