GHAZNAVIDS
Bunch of Turkish slave soldiers in Afghanistan working for the Samanids.  As was the frequent habit of Turkish military slaves, they took over.  Then they went on to conquer Pakistan and make major raids into India. Click here for much more on this mostly bloody and nasty dynasty and their very various coins.  This will eventually be a very large page, but most of the coins are so cheap - I'll get to them later.
